Who operates Healing Paws
Healing Paws is operated by Robert Sweeney under the InventJoy brand. InventJoy is a brand name, not an LLC or corporation. Our domain is inventjoyapps.com. You can contact us about support or privacy at support@inventjoyapps.com.
Purpose and audience
The first beta is intended for adults age 18 or older in the United States. Healing Paws is a wellness companion, not medical care, diagnosis, therapy or emergency assistance. It cannot replace professional care or human help. For beta eligibility, the app saves only your acknowledgement of the adult U.S. beta requirements; it does not verify your identity, age or location.
Information saved locally
The app uses ordinary device preferences, not an encrypted journal or secure vault. It saves:
- A boolean acknowledgement that you affirm the adult U.S. beta requirements. No birth date, identification, age value, location lookup or acknowledgement timestamp is collected.
- Onboarding completion, selected pet, both companion names, support style, Pet sounds and Haptics preferences, and a legacy pet-selection value.
- The most recent mood rating and date. There is no written journal or long-term mood-rating timeline.
- The current or most recently saved daily routine’s mood, care and calming choices, celebrated routine dates, and pending reward-delivery records.
- Per-pet Bond activity counts and event identifiers. These identifiers can contain dates or timestamps to prevent duplicate rewards. There is no automatic age/count purge of Bond records or celebrated routine dates.
- The latest 100 completed comfort sessions: identifier, completion time, duration and better/same/worse outcome. The selected need, companion name and written thoughts are not stored in these session records.
- The latest 100 completed bedtime sessions: identifier, completion time, selected duration and pet type.
Active clocks, unsaved edits and animations are held in memory; unfinished sessions are not saved as resumable sessions. Reduced motion follows the device setting. Artwork and the original purr are bundled resources, not recordings of you.
No accounts, cloud synchronization or sale of personal information
The current Healing Paws beta has no user accounts or app-operated cloud synchronization. There is no app server receiving your locally stored wellness activity. The app has no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
The app does not request microphone, camera, photo, contact or location access. Development builds use development-network tooling. Operating-system backups, diagnostics and services operate separately from Healing Paws.
Retention and resetting your app data
Companion choices, preferences, mood check-ins, routines, Bond progress, comfort sessions and bedtime history are stored locally on your device. Local preferences remain until changed, reset or removed, subject to the session limits above and operating-system backups.
To remove locally stored app data, open Settings → About, Privacy & Safety → Reset Healing Paws. Reset requires two confirmations and clears this installation’s onboarding, eligibility acknowledgement, preferences, companion information, mood, routines, session histories and Bond/reward records. You can cancel either confirmation without losing data. The bundled artwork and sound files, other apps and operating-system settings are not deleted. We cannot access or reset the app data stored on your device for you.
Operating-system backups and iOS offloading
Deleting the app removes its current local installation data. Offloading on iOS can retain documents and data. Android backup is not explicitly disabled or customized, and iOS preferences are not explicitly excluded from backups. Depending on your device and settings, operating-system backups or device transfers may retain or restore local information, including your eligibility acknowledgement. Reset does not remove existing backup copies or support emails. Local deletion is not a promise of forensic secure erasure.
Email and actions you choose
We do not ask for or collect an email address in the app or through website forms. We receive your sender email address and the contents of your message only when you voluntarily contact support by email. We use support correspondence to handle your support and privacy questions. Please include only information you choose to share and avoid sending sensitive personal information.
Email support opens a new email addressed to support@inventjoyapps.com with the fixed subject “Healing Paws Support.” No message body, private app data, device identifiers or attachments are included. Nothing is sent automatically. Copy email address writes only the public support address to your clipboard at your request. Your email app and providers apply their own privacy practices.
Support email is held outside the app by the email services used to receive it. The address currently receives messages through forwarding; replies from this address are not yet available. No response time is guaranteed. The in-app reset does not delete email correspondence. You can ask privacy questions or request deletion of support correspondence by emailing support@inventjoyapps.com.
Wellness limits and emergency help
Healing Paws and the support inbox cannot handle emergencies. In the United States, call 911 if you are in immediate danger or need emergency assistance. For emotional distress or a suicidal crisis in the United States, call or text 988. Outside the United States, contact local emergency services or a local crisis service.
The app’s U.S. crisis resources are available without payment. Phone and messaging actions in the app require explicit confirmation before another app opens. Only the destination number is passed; no message body is supplied, no message is sent automatically, and Healing Paws does not place a call automatically. Your external service providers handle those communications.
